What is Youth Authors Week?

Youth Authors Week is a campaign shining a spotlight on talented teenage writers, whose stories often haven’t had the chance to be widely read and celebrated. This initiative aims to connect youth authors with new audiences and help readers discover fresh perspectives and inspiring stories. Participate by reading at least one piece of youth writing this inaugural Youth Authors Week!

Are you an 8th-12th grader? Sign up for our student toolkit! You’ll complete a service project and earn a certificate by diversifying reading lists and bookshelves in your school or community to include youth authors.
